County Clerk Extends Office Hours For Vote-By-Mail Applications and Other Services
With weekend and evening hours, voters won't have to miss school, work, or family time.

SOMERVILLE, NJ – Somerset County Clerk Steve Peter will keep his office open on certain evenings and weekend days to facilitate requests for Vote-by-Mail (VBM) ballots and perform other Clerk services. The extended hours are intended to help busy voters find the most convenient means to cast their ballot in the 2022 General Election being conducted on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

“We are committed to ensuring every registered voter in Somerset County has the time to cast their ballot,” said County Clerk Peter. “By offering these evening and weekend hours, we are ensuring mail voters don’t have to give up school, work, or time with the family to vote.”

Voters who have not requested a VBM ballot for the 2022 General Election may do so at the Clerk’s office at 20 Grove Street in Somerville until 3 p.m. on Monday, November 7. The office will be open:
-Every weekday from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended Wednesday hours until 6 p.m.
-Sunday, October 16 from noon to 4 p.m. in conjunction with the Somerset County Diversity Festival.
-Saturday October 29 and November 5 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Clerk will also be holding the following mobile office hours prior to the election, but voters will only be able to request to have a ballot mailed to them due to processing requirements:
-Saturday, October 15 at the Raritan Municipal Building, 22 First Street, Raritan.
-Saturday, October 22 at the Branchburg Municipal Building, 1977 Route 202, Branchburg.

Spanish speaking staff will be present during both 20 Grove Street and mobile office hours.
Voters who request a mail-in-ballot may not vote on a machine in the current election but may request to do so for future elections. Voters who have not requested a mail-in-ballot may vote in-person at any of six early voting locations in Somerset County from October 29 to November 6, or at their assigned polling place on Election Day, November 8. Drop Box, early voting, and assigned poll information is available at http://soconj.gov/elec2022 or on the Somerset County Clerk mobile app available on the Google Play or Apple App stores.
