2/5/2016 - Police Wake and Funeral Information - Expect Traffic Delays Monday & Tuesday, February 8th & 9th

Dear Residents:

The Chief of Bedminster Township Police Department, Craig Meyer passed away on Monday February1st. The Borough resident lost a heroic battle with cancer. His family will be honoring his memory with a wake and funeral at Bailey’s Funeral Home and Saint Luke’s Church respectively.

Chief Meyer was well known in the area since he grew up in town, attended Bernards High School and of course served as Chief of a neighboring town. Because of his local roots, a huge turnout is expected for both days. In order to accommodate the large crowds and traffic certain road closures will be in place for Monday 2/8 and Tuesday 2/9. There will be detours in place for through traffic.

You will be able to get to and from your house. There will be police officers from Departments around Somerset County assisting us with traffic control If you are trying to get to your house please tell the officer who is at the traffic post where you live and he or she will work with you to get you to your destination.
