Today, Governor Murphy’s administration launched a new initiative known as Garden State Community Outreach – a comprehensive marketing, advertising, and outreach effort designed to ensure every New Jersey resident is aware of the many critical programs and services the state provides and to help them apply for any they may be eligible for. These programs run the gamut and are all part of the concerted effort Governor Murphy’s administration has made since day one to create a stronger, more equitable New Jersey – from access to affordable healthcare and critical mental health services to affordability programs such as utility assistance or tax benefits potentially worth thousands.

We are reaching out to enlist your support in a few different ways:

1) To help us spread the word about this new program by sharing our new web page or the attached flyer with your constituents to make sure residents take advantage of the program and welcome us into their communities

2) To make you and your constituents aware that a team of canvassers will be headed to roughly a dozen major cities throughout the state to conduct targeted door-knocking to potentially eligible families. The attached flyer details the canvassing operation and what you can expect if they come to your town or if residents have questions. The green “Garden State Outreach Team” vests are a sure sign that canvassers are with our operation.

3) If any local events are going on in your city or county, and you’d like to request a team of canvassers to attend and conduct outreach, please let us know. We will work with the outreach teams to see what kind of presence we can provide!
