Montgomery Senior Center Offers Free Watercolor Painting Lesson

MONTGOMERY – Somerset County Freeholder Deputy Director Brian D. Levine invites residents age 60 and above to register for a lunch-and-learn watercolor painting class. All participants will receive step-by-step instruction on how to paint a watercolor landscape.
Do you have a hidden talent? Find out in this free, fun and relaxing class for beginners and anyone with or without artistic ability. Join fellow art students at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at the Montgomery Senior Center located at 356 Skillman Road.
The registration deadline is Tuesday, Sept. 11, by 10 a.m. To reserve a seat and order lunch, call Denise Crowley at (609) 466-0846. The menu includes four different selections of both hot and cold meals, with or without meat. There is a suggested donation of $2.50 for participants age 60 and above.
Montgomery Senior Center is operated by the Somerset County Office on Aging and Disability Services. The multi-purpose facility offers a variety of activities, including evidence-based exercise and wellness classes and other educational programs, health screenings and a social setting that embraces cultural diversity.
Somerset County senior centers offer a wide range of experiences for active older adults in a social and uplifting atmosphere intended to positively impact the overall health of seniors. Members can participate in a variety of programs and activities.
