Somerset County Offers Free Disaster-Preparedness Course
Be Prepared, Get CERTified
HILLSBOROUGH – Somerset County Freeholder Patricia L. Walsh urges county residents age 18 years and above to register for a free training program presented by the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). This month-long certification class is essential for people who want to learn disaster-response and disaster-preparedness skills. The class size is limited to 25 students. The deadline to register is Friday, Sept. 21.
Learn how to protect yourself, family, neighbors and your community if a hazard ever occurs in your area. Register for the “Somerset County CERT Course 18-2” to be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 2, 4, 9, 11, 16 and 23, from 7 to 10 p.m., and Saturdays, Oct. 13 and 27, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Somerset County Emergency Services Training Academy, 402 Roycefield Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844.
The cost is free to anyone 18 years of age and above who resides in Somerset County. Students must complete all modules in order to receive a certificate of completion. The course registration form can be found at http://bit.ly/certregistration921.
