Senior Wellness Center at Basking Ridge Offers Yoga Class
Exercise Your Body, Mind & Spirit, Register for Yoga with Jillian

BASKING RIDGE – Somerset County Freeholder Shanel Y. Robinson invites residents age 60 and above to register for a gentle-flow yoga class at the Senior Wellness Center at Basking Ridge located at 202 Mount Airy Road. Classes are from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 29, and Nov. 12, 19, 26, continuing through Dec. 3, 10, and 17. The deadline to register is Friday, Oct. 12. The cost is $40 for an
eight-week session.

Yoga with Jillian is a gentle-flow yoga class that can be practiced while either sitting in a chair or standing. Participants will learn poses that can help release tension in the neck, and shoulders. They will also practice stretching the spine in six directions, which is a technique that has been proven to promote better health. The class will end with guided relaxation so that participants will leave feeling rested and refreshed.

This class is open to all levels of skill. A yoga mat is not required, but participants should wear loose fitting clothing and sneakers are required.

The Somerset County Senior Wellness Center at Basking Ridge is operated by the Somerset County Office on Aging and Disability Services.
