Halloween Safety

Please be extra careful as trick or treating will be going on throughout the Borough!

Adults, please accompany young children. If your children do go trick or treating without you, make sure they have flashlights or glow sticks and use sidewalks. Remember, drivers can't always see pedestrians. Parents, be sure to check candy prior to allowing your children to eat it.

Children, do not cross roads between parked vehicles. Use crosswalks and walkways.

Homeowners, please have lights on to illuminate walkways and porches if you are participating in tonight's festivities.

Drivers, exercise extreme caution when operating a vehicle. Be on the alert for excited youngsters, whose vision may be obscured by masks, darting out into traffic.

Police will be out throughout the night in an effort to make this a safe night for everyone. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our department (908-234-0626) or 911 in case of an emergency. Happy Halloween!
