Weekly Update #2 – February 3, 2020

The Bernards Township Health Department Monitors New Coronavirus (February 3, 2020) – The Bernards Township Health Department continues to work in partnership with the New Jersey Department of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), local hospitals, medical providers, and emergency medical service to respond to a new emerging coronavirus 2019-nCoV, which originated from Wuhan, China. The amount of confirmed cases in the United States continues to steadily rise. This past week the United States saw its first case of person-to-person transmission with most other cases originating from China. Thus far there have not been any confirmed cases in New Jersey.
