Somerset County Implements Social Distancing Practices


In an effort to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, Somerset County is implementing the following changes, effective Wednesday, March 18.

Somerset County government will remain operational, however all county facilities, with the exception of Richard Hall Community Mental Health Center, will be closed to the public.

All scheduled programs will be canceled through April 10, including the 5K Race to Wellness, Pysanky Egg Painting and other activities.

RICHARD HALL COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH CENTER
Beginning Tuesday, March 17, the Richard Hall Community Mental Health Center, located at 500 North Bridge St. in Bridgewater, will reduce its hours to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

If you have questions about a scheduled appointment, please call your provider and follow the instructions on their voicemail.

If you are in need of a prescription refill please call (908) 253-3113.

If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, call PESS at 908-526-4100.

All meetings and groups have been suspended through April 10. For the safety of our clients and staff, face-to-face appointments will be limited but you will have access by phone to Center staff. Thank you for your cooperation during this time and stay well.

SOMERSET COUNTY TRANSPORTATION
The Somerset County Division of Transportation announced that all public shuttles, including DASH, SCOOT and CAT, will be operating on a modified/holiday schedule.

Dialysis, medical appointments and grocery shopping paratransit services will operate on a normal schedule.

RECYCLING
Effective Wednesday, March 18, the county Recycling Center will be closed to the public and curbside pickups will be discontinued until further notice.


SOMERSET COUNTY SENIOR CENTERS

All six county-operated centers are closed ; Meals on Wheels will continue to be delivered.
