Peapack and Gladstone Incidents- Week of 8/15-8/21

Monday 8/15/16 6:43 PM - Police reported that they responded to Natirar Park in Peapack for a report of a one car motor vehicle crash. The vehicle crashed into a metal gate at the entrance to 90 Acres Restaurant. The operator of the vehicle, a 36 year old male was arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

Tuesday 8/16/16 8:12 AM - Police reported that they responded with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid & Rescue Squad to a Gladstone residence for a report of 71 year old male having difficulty breathing. Police placed the victim on oxygen and monitored vitals until the First Aid Squad arrived. The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center.

Tuesday 8/16/16 8:52 AM - Police reported that they responded to a Gladstone residence for a report of a suicidal man. Upon arriving, the individual was extremely upset and was yelling inside the residence. Police were able to persuade the individual to go to RWJ Somerset Hospital and be evaluated.

Wednesday 8/17/16 3:06 PM - Police reported that they responded, along with the Peapack and Gladstone First Aid & Rescue Squad, to Pfizer Inc for a report of a 56 year old male experiencing chest pain and difficulty breathing. Upon arriving, the victim was being attended to by medical staff on location. The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center by the PG First Aid Squad.

Friday 8/19/16 9:52 AM - Police reported that a Peapack resident reported that she had fraudulent activity on her credit card. The victim stated that someone attempted to charge over $700 to one of her credit accounts by purchasing electronic items. Police are investigating the incident.

Saturday 8/20/16 9:24 AM - Police reported that a random check of a license plate resulted in an arrest. While on patrol, Ofc. Adam Caruso conducted a random license plate inquiry which showed the registered owner of the vehicle’s driving privileges were suspended and he had two warrants totaling $570 out of West Windsor Municipal Court. After stopping the vehicle, the driver/registered owner was placed under arrest for the warrants.

Saturday 8/20/16 10:27 PM - Police reported that they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Rt. 206 near the American Legion (71/50). The vehicle was subsequently stopped on Rt. 206 near Pottersville Rd. While speaking with the driver, Ofc. Adam Caruso noticed the strong odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. Subsequently, a 17 year old juvenile male admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. He was taken into custody and transported to Police Headquarters where his parents were contacted to take custody of him. Charges from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office are pending.

Sunday 8/21/16 7:03 PM - Police reported that a random check of a license plate resulted in an arrest. Cpl. Thomas Scanlon conducted a random check of a license plate which showed the registered owner to have an active warrant out of Florence Twp Municipal Court. The 32 year old individual of South Amboy was arrested and processed for the warrant.

Sunday 8/21/16 11:22 PM - Police reported that they responded to the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid & Rescue Squad Building for a report of a male having difficulty breathing. The 19 year old male was driven to the building by friends. Members of the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid & Rescue Squad responded and transported the victim to Morristown Medical Center.
