Peapack and Gladstone Incidents- Week of 9/5-9/11

Monday 9/5/16 6:14 AM - Police reported they responded to a Gladstone address for a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. It was determined that two of the resident’s vehicles were entered by an unknown party/parties. Consoles and glove compartments appeared to have been looked through; however no items were reported missing from either vehicle. The vehicles were believed to have been unlocked.

Monday 9/5/16 7:40 AM - Police reported that they responded to a Gladstone residence for a report of two missing vehicles. Taken from the residence were a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 4 door BMW. There were also two other vehicles in the driveway of the residence that had been burglarized as well. One of the remaining vehicles had been moved to allow the involved parties to steal the two missing cars. Upon moving the vehicle, they struck another car parked in the driveway causing minor damage. All vehicles in the driveway were believed to be unlocked.

Monday 9/5/16 11:32 AM - Police reported they responded to a third Gladstone address for a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. It was determined that two of the resident’s vehicles were entered by an unknown party/parties. Consoles and glove compartments appeared to have been looked through. Reportedly a backpack and check book was missing from the vehicle. The backpack was later located on an adjacent street and returned to the owner. The vehicles were believed to have been unlocked.

Monday 9/5/16 11:56 AM - Police responded to a fourth residence in Gladstone for motor vehicle burglaries. Two vehicles were found to have been looked through while patrol was canvassing the area as a result of other car thefts/burglaries. Missing from one of the vehicles was a $250 pair of Coach sunglasses as well as two credit cards. Both of the vehicles were believed to have been unlocked.

Monday 9/5/16 6:21 PM - Police responded to an alarm at a Main Street address in Peapack. Upon arriving, an open window was discovered in the rear of the structure. It was determined that someone had entered the building, but were no longer on location. There was no sign of forced entry and nothing was deemed missing.

Tuesday 9/6/16 7:53 AM - Police responded to the area of Rt. 206 for a report of a possibly intoxicated driver. The caller claimed that the vehicle, a Ford pickup, was driving erratically. Ofc. Anthony Damiano located and stopped the vehicle on Rt. 206 just into Chester Twp. After speaking with the driver, it was determined that the male operator was possibly suffering from a diabetic emergency. Peapack-Gladstone Rescue Squad was dispatched and responded to evaluate. The 47 year old Edison man was transported to RWJ-Somerset for further evaluation.

Thursday 9/8/16 5:31 AM - Police responded to Rt. 206 near Brady Drive for a report of a motor vehicle crash. The two vehicles struck one another causing minor damage. There were no injuries and no summonses were issued.

Thursday 9/8/16 11:23 AM - Police reported that along with the Peapack-Gladstone Rescue Squad they responded to a Peapack address for a male experiencing a seizure. Upon arriving medical personnel was caring for the patient. The PG Rescue Squad transported the patient to RWJ-Somerset for further evaluation.

Thursday 9/8/16 5:55 PM - Police reported that they responded to Mosle Rd in Gladstone for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Upon arriving, Police located the driver of the motor vehicle, which had struck a utility pole and a tree. The vehicle had extensive damage. The driver, 61 year old Allen Eppie of Morristown, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

Friday 9/9/16 6:32 AM - Police reported that along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, they responded to a Gladstone address for a report of an elderly female fall victim. The female had fallen in the home and was complaining of arm pain. She was transported to RWJ-Somerset for further evaluation.

Friday 9/9/16 9:14 PM - Police reported that along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, they responded to a Peapack address for a report of an elderly female feeling sick. The victim had not been feeling well for several days and was requesting transport to RWJ-Somerset. She was taken to the hospital by the PG Rescue Squad.

Saturday 9/10/16 7:04 PM - Police along with the Peapack-Gladstone Fire Department responded to a Gladstone business for a report of a mulch fire. Police located the smoldering mulch and PG Fire Chief was able to extinguish it with a water can. Police received a similar call at 12:36 AM. The PG Fire Department responded and soaked the area with a hose.

Saturday 9/10/16 7:39 PM - Police reported that along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, they responded to a Peapack business for a report of a male experiencing a cardiac issue. The victim was placed on oxygen and monitored until the PG Rescue Squad responded and transported the patient to Morristown Medical Center.

Sunday 9/11/16 10:36 AM - Police reported a two car motor vehicle crash on Main Street near Todd Avenue. Neither party was injured, no summonses were issued.

Sunday 9/11/16 5:23 PM - Police reported a two car, rear-end motor vehicle crash on Rt. 206 near Pottersville Rd. There was moderate damage to the vehicles involved. There were no injuries and no summonses were issued.
