Peapack and Gladstone Incidents- Week of 1/2/17-1/8/17

Monday 1/2/17 6:19 PM - Officers responded to the Gladstone Train Station for a report of a domestic on the train. Upon arriving, officers met with one of the involved individuals. The Peapack resident told Police that he arrived to pick his wife up from the station when she began to argue with him and refused to exit the train. Officers attempted to escort the intoxicated female from the train, but she resisted and began to yell. Officers arrested the 49 year old Peapack resident for being disorderly. The female was processed and released.

Tuesday 1/3/17 10:08 PM - Police reported that they responded to a Gladstone residence to assist a resident. Officers were informed that the daughter of the resident was possibly involved in a domestic violence incident in another jurisdiction. As the incident occurred in another municipality, Officers informed the resident on the process for signing complaints and applying for court orders.

Wednesday 1/4/17 4:57 PM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, responded to a Peapack residence for a report of a fall victim. Officers assisted the female victim who had a laceration on her head. The First Aid Squad then arrived on scene and assumed patient care. The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center for further evaluation.

Thursday 1/5/17 4:35 PM - Officers responded to a Peapack home to assist a resident. Police had been at the residence earlier in the day for an alarm activation. The resident requested officers check the home with him. Nothing appeared to be suspicious at the residence.

Friday 1/6/17 10:10 AM - A Gladstone resident reported an email account had been hacked and gift cards had been stolen. Email notifications from multiple charge accounts were being forwarded to an unknown email account.

Friday 1/6/17 4:40 PM - Police reported that they stopped a vehicle on Rt. 206 which resulted in multiple summonses and the vehicle being impounded. Cpl. Thomas Scanlon stopped a vehicle being operated by a 22 year old male for a motor vehicle violation. It was determined that the male's driving privileges were suspended in New Jersey. He was issued summonses for Driving While Suspended, Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Speeding, and Failure to Exhibit Registration/Insurance/Driver’s License. His vehicle was impounded.

Friday 1/6/17 6:05 PM - Police reported that they responded to a Gladstone residence for a report of a psychiatric emergency. Officers found that the victim suffers from dementia and was claiming to see things. Officers assisted in speaking with the victim until family members felt that everything had returned to normal.

Friday 1/6/17 6:37 PM - Officers, along with the Peapack-Gladstone Fire Department, responded to a Peapack business for an odor of something burning. It was determined that an employee had thrown hot ash into a garbage can. The PGFD extinguished the small fire and overhauled the area as a precaution.
