Peapack and Gladstone Incidents- Week of 2/6/17-2/12/17

Monday 2/6/17 5:51 PM - Police reported a two car motor vehicle crash on Rt. 206 near Pottersville Rd. The rear-end crash occurred when a vehicle operated by a Succasunna woman struck a vehicle and then crashed into a guardrail. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene. There were no injuries.

Tuesday 2/7/17 4:14 PM - Police responded to a Peapack business for a dispute between an employer and employee. The issue began when the employee arrived to work and appeared to be intoxicated. The employer advised that he was not going to pay the worker because he was intoxicated. After some discussion, it was agreed that the employee would leave and returned to work the following day.

Wednesday 2/8/17 10:54 AM - Police reported a two car crash at #224 Main St. The crash occurred when a vehicle backed into another vehicle when attempting to exit the vehicle. There was minor damage to both vehicles. No summonses were issued.

Wednesday 2/8/17 5:56 PM - Police responded to Todd Avenue for a suspicious vehicle. The caller stated that there were two individuals seated in the car asking for directions to Rt. 206. According to the caller, the incident happened 30 minutes in the past. Police checked the area, but the vehicle had left.

Wednesday 2/8/17 10:39 PM - Police reported a 1 car motor vehicle crash on Rt. 206 near Brady Drive. The vehicle was heading southbound when a deer crossed into the lane of travel. V1 struck the deer. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

Thursday 2/9/17 3:33 AM - Police along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad responded to a Gladstone residence for report of an unresponsive female. Upon police arrival, the female was conscious but experiencing an altered mental status. The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center by the PG First Aid Squad along with Medics from Atlantic.

Thursday 2/9/17 8:25 AM - Police reported a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash on Rt. 206 at Holland Ave. A vehicle struck another vehicle in the rear causing it to run off the road and strike a guardrail. The vehicle that caused the impact then continued northbound on Rt. 206. Attempts to locate the vehicle were unsuccessful.

Thursday 2/9/17 10:25 AM - Police reported a 1 car motor vehicle crash on Pottersville Rd at Hillcrest Ave. The vehicle, driven by a New Providence man, was heading eastbound on Pottersville Rd when it veered off the roadway and struck a fire hydrant. Determination was that the vehicle was being driven at an unsafe speed on snowy/icy road conditions. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

Friday 2/10/17 10:58 AM - Police responded to Trimmer Lane and Rt. 206 for a report of a motor vehicle crash in which a vehicle struck a house. The vehicle, which was heading northbound on Rt. 206, attempted to turn right onto Trimmer Lane when the vehicle veered onto the property of the residence and struck the home. There was minor damage to the residence. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, but was driven from the scene.

Friday 2/10/17 5:15 PM - Police responded to a residence on Main Street for a juvenile incident. Police spoke with the 14 year old caller who advised that he was involved in an argument with a friend and was then told to leave his friend’s home. The juvenile said he felt threatened that his friend’s mother told him that she would contact the police if he didn’t leave. Ofc. Adam Caruso explained that if someone asked him to leave their residence he would have to do so.

Friday 2/10/17 9:01 PM - Police were called to a Gladstone restaurant for a report of an individual having a stroke. Upon arriving police evaluated the victim. The Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad responded and assumed patient care. The victim believed that a combination of medications were making him feel strange. He refused any further medical attention.

Sunday 2/11/17 2:31 AM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, responded to Matheny Medical & Educational facility for a report of an unresponsive person. Upon police arrival, the victim was conscious and alert. The PG First Aid Squad responded and transported the patient to Morristown Medical Center along with Medics.

Sunday 2/11/17 12:02 AM - Police reported that they responded to the area of Mosle Rd near Jackson Ave for a report of a tree on wires. Upon police arrival, the power line snapped which caused a brush fire. Police closed the roadway, along with the Peapack-Gladstone Fire Department. The PGFD stood by until JCP&L arrived and addressed the issue.

Sunday 2/12/17 5:17 PM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, responded to a Peapack residence for a report of a fall victim. The victim was assisted back to her room. She refused any further medical attention.

Sunday 2/12/17 - Police removed multiple tree limbs from the roadways throughout the Borough due to icy conditions.
