Peapack and Gladstone Incidents- Week of 5/22/17-5/28/17
Monday 5/22/17 7:52 AM - Police reported a two car, rear-end motor vehicle crash on Rt. 206 South near Holland Avenue. The crash resulted in minor damage to both vehicles. One of the involved parties complained of pain, but refused medical attention. There were no summonses issued.
Tuesday 5/23/17 10:57 PM - While on patrol, Cpl. Thomas Scanlon located an individual in the parking lot of the Peapack-Gladstone Fire Department. The man was acting suspiciously. He walked between vehicles and eventually went over toward the basketball court in the parking lot. Cpl. Scanlon spoke with the individual who claimed he was throwing away garbage in a dumpster belonging to a local business. After a brief discussion it was determined that the man was going to urinate in the parking lot, but thought better of it when he saw the patrol vehicle. The Woodland Hills, CA man was advised to use a bathroom and not urinate in public.
Wednesday 5/24/17 1:04 PM - Police and the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad responded to a Gladstone residence for a report of an elderly female fall victim. Ofc. Adam Caruso was first on location and assisted with rendering first aid for a head wound. The PG First Aid Squad arrived and assumed patient care. The victim was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
Wednesday 5/24/17 2:44 PM - Police reported a two car, rear-end motor vehicle crash on Rt. 206 North near #158. The crash resulted in minor damage to one vehicle and extensive damage to the second. There were no injuries and no summonses were issued.
Thursday 5/25/17 12:48 PM - Officers were dispatched to a Main Street location for a welfare check. A caller from the location stated that there was a female there who was distraught and speaking incoherently. Cpl. Owen Duff arrived and spoke with a 63 year old female who told him she was there to speak with someone and that individual was not there. The female said she did become upset when speaking with staff; however, she appeared to be calm. Cpl. Duff spoke with the caller prior to clearing.
Thursday 5/25/17 5:03 PM - Police reported an incident involving dogs owned by two Gladstone residents. The caller stated that another resident’s dog bit her dog and was acting aggressive. There was no injury to the animal. No charges were signed by either of the residents.
Friday 5/26/17 8:55 AM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, responded to a Gladstone residence for a report of an elderly female who fell in her home. Ofc. Dirk Sheasley and Sgt. Stephen Ferrante arrived to find the victim seated on a couch. She explained that she may have had an allergic reaction to a medication. The PG First Aid Squad arrived and assumed patient care. The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center for further evaluation.
Friday 5/26/17 2:07 PM - Police reported a two car motor vehicle crash on Mosle Road in the area of Jackson Avenue. A vehicle travelling on Mosle Road attempted to make a left onto Jackson Avenue when the driver struck a second vehicle stopped on Jackson Avenue. There were no injuries as a result of the crash. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. No summonses were issued.
Saturday 5/27/17 7:37 PM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone Fire Department, responded to a residence in Peapack for a grill fire. Police arrived to find the fire was out. The PG Fire Department checked to ensure that the fire was indeed out.
Sunday 5/28/17 6:33 PM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, responded to a Peapack residence for a report of an elderly female who had fallen. Officers assisted in helping the female, who was uninjured, back to her bed. The victim refused further medical attention.
