Peapack and Gladstone Incidents- Week of 8/14/17 - 8/20/17
Monday 8/14/17 7:37 AM - Police responded to a location on Main Street in Peapack for a report of harassment. The incident arose from a dispute between cyclists and a passing motorist. The cyclists claimed that a vehicle driven by male passed by and almost striking them. The two men the stated that the driver of the vehicle stopped down the road, exited his vehicle, and threw his hands in the air in a “threatening manner.” The cyclists provided a license plate number and description of the driver. The two men were advised on the procedure of signing complaints through the Municipal Court.
Tuesday 8/15/17 12:33 PM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, responded to a Gladstone residence for a report of a male experiencing cardiac issues. The victim was experiencing an irregular heartbeat and blood pressure. Officers provided oxygen and monitored vitals until the arrival of the PG First Aid Squad. The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center.
Thursday 8/17/17 7:33 AM - Police were called to a Gladstone residence for an elderly male experiencing pain. Officers arrived and found that the victim was in severe pain unless he was in a standing position. The Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad arrived and transported the male to Morristown Medical Center for further evaluation.
Thursday 8/17/17 9:15 PM - Police arrested 50 year old Tony L. Nathan of Franklin Park, NJ for an outstanding traffic warrant out of Peapack and Gladstone Municipal Court. Nathan was transported to Police HQ and was processed for the $500 warrant prior to being released.
Friday 8/18/17 3:55 AM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, were dispatched to a Peapack residence for a report of a female vomiting. The female victim requested to be transported to Overlook Hospital for continued treatment. The PG First Aid Squad assumed patient care and transported the victim to Overlook.
Friday 8/18/17 11:12 AM - A Gladstone resident requested an officer to investigate a strange noise she heard the night before. The resident informed officers that she heard a scratching noise at her basement door. Police checked, but were unable to locate anything.
Saturday 8/19/17 8:42 AM - Police reported that they received multiple calls for a barking dog on Dewey Avenue in Gladstone. Cpl. Thomas Scanlon was able to locate the dog, which was appeared to have become stuck between a large tree and a barn on the neighbor’s property. Animal Control and the Peapack-Gladstone Fire Department were requested to respond. Prior to their arrival, a neighbor’s son was able to climb over the fence and free the dog. The dog was unharmed.
Saturday 8/19/17 11:34 AM - Police were requested to assist Mendham Twp Police with a motor vehicle crash on Mosle Rd in the Township. Cpl. Scanlon and Ofc. Potts located the crash, involving a motorcycle, and assisted until no longer needed.
Saturday 8/19/17 4:38 PM - Police arrested 42 year old Eugenio Sanabria-Abarca of Irvington, NJ for a $1250 warrant out of Union Twp Municipal Court. Cpl. Thomas Scanlon stopped an unregistered vehicle being operated by Sanabria-Abarca on Rt. 206. A check of his license showed that there was a warrant for Sanabria-Abarca’s arrest and his driving privileges had been suspended in New Jersey. Cpl. Scanlon arrested Sanabria-Abarca and transported him to Police HQ in Peapack where he was processed and released. Sanabria-Abarca was issued summonses for Unregistered Vehicle, Driving While Suspended, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without a License.
Saturday 8/19/17 8:49 PM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, responded to a Gladstone residence for a report of a female with leg pain. The female victim complained of pain and that her leg was swollen. The PG First Aid Squad responded and transported the victim to RWJB-Somerset for evaluation.
Sunday 8/20/17 3:10 PM - Police reported that they arrested 23 year old Cherise A Mitchell of Green Brook, NJ for a $500 traffic warrant out of the Peapack and Gladstone Municipal Court. Mitchell was stopped on Holland Ave in Peapack where she was placed under arrest and transported to Police HQ in Peapack for processing. Mitchell was released pending a new Court date.
Sunday 8/20/17 5:35 PM - Police were dispatched to a Gladstone residence for a report of a female who had fallen. Cpl. Thomas Scanlon arrived an assisted in lifting the female. At that time it was determined that she had suffered an avulsion to the ankle/shin area. Due to the injury, he requested the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad. Cpl. Scanlon bandaged the wound and upon the arrival of the PG First Aid Squad, care was turned over to them. The victim was transported to Morristown Medical Center.
