Peapack and Gladstone Incidents- Week of 9/25/17-10/01/17

Monday 9/25/17 6:42 AM - Police reported a one car motor vehicle crash on Rt. 206 near Pfizer Way. The vehicle, being operated by a 29 year old Hackettstown woman, was heading southbound when a deer crossed Rt. 206 in front of her vehicle. Unable to stop, the female struck the deer. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

Tuesday 9/26/17 4:52 AM - Police arrested a 60 year old East Brunswick man for a warrant. Charles Armato was stopped when Det. Anthony Damiano conducted a random license plate inquiry on a vehicle being operated by Armato. The look up showed that Armato’s driving privileges were revoked and there was a warrant out of East Brunswick Municipal Court in the amount of $1139.00. Armato was arrested and transported to Police HQ for processing. He was eventually turned over to East Brunswick Police.

Thursday 9/28/17 6:20 AM - Police responded to the area of Mosle Rd near Branch Rd for a report of a tree/wires down in the roadway. Officers located the down tree/wires just into Mendham Twp. PG Police assisted by placing cones off the close down the roadway and keep motorists away from the area.

Saturday 9/30/17 4:14 PM - Police were dispatched to a Peapack residence to assist a tenant with a civil matter. Officers were informed that the landlord had not paid the electric bill and the power to the residence had been shut off. Peapack and Gladstone OEM was contacted to assist as well by supplying a generator to the tenant. The power company soon made arrangements to turn power back on until the tenant could put the account in his name and work out payment to the utility company.

Saturday 9/30/17 9:02 PM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad were dispatched to a Peapack residence for a report of a two year old boy choking. Prior to arriving, officers were advised the child was no longer choking. Police met with the child’s parents upon arriving. The boy was eating a piece of fruit when it became lodged in his throat. The boy’s father was able to clear the obstruction by administering back blows. The PG First Aid Squad checked the boy who was breathing and speaking normally. The boy’s parents declined further medical assistance.

Sunday 10/1/17 12:24 AM - Police responded to a Bedminster Twp residence at the request of Bedminster Twp Police for a fire alarm. Pottersville Fire arrived on location and checked the residence. It was deemed a false alarm.

Sunday 10/1/17 2:47 AM - Bedminster Twp Police requested assistance with traffic control at the intersection of Rt. 206 and Lamington Rd for a motor vehicle crash. Det. Anthony Damiano remained on location until no longer needed.

Sunday 10/1/17 6:29 PM - Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Mendham Rd and Main St for a report of a female choking in a vehicle. Police arrived to find an elderly female seated in her vehicle with husband. The female’s husband advised officers that he believed his wife was choking on a piece of food. The female was able to speak, but stated she was having trouble breathing. The PG First Aid Squad arrived and assumed care of the victim. They conducted an assessment of the female, who eventually declined further medical attention.

Sunday 10/1/17 10:28 PM - Police arrested 21 year old Jade A. Palmer of Colonia, NJ for a warrant out of Woodbridge Municipal Court. Palmer’s vehicle was stopped for an inoperative headlamp and an expired registration. A check of Palmer’s driver’s license showed the $81 warrant. Palmer was arrested and transported to Police HQ where she was processed and released.
