Peapack and Gladstone Incidents - Week of 11/06/17 - 11/12/17
Monday 11/6/17 7:05 PM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, responded to a Gladstone residence for a report of an unresponsive 28 year old male. Officers arrived to find the male lying on the kitchen floor. The victim was breathing agonally and his pupils were “pinpoint.” Police inserted an oropharyngyl airway and administered Narcan to the victim. Rescue breathing was provided by officers until the arrival of the PG First Aid Squad. The male was transported to Morristown Medical Center by the PG First Aid Squad along with Medics.
Tuesday 11/7/17 10:26 AM - Police reported a two car, rear-end motor vehicle crash on Rt. 206 at Pottersville Road. The crash occurred when a 55 year old Indiana woman looked at her phone for directions and did not realized the vehicle in front of her had come to a stop. There was moderate damage to both vehicles; however, both vehicles were driven from the scene. Both drivers refused medical attention.
Wednesday 11/8/17 12:01 PM - Police reported that they arrested 50 year old Peapack woman for Simple Assault. Officers responded to speak with the resident at her request about an ongoing marital issue. Upon arriving, the officers noticed that the female appeared to be intoxicated. After speaking with her for several minutes, she requested to be transported to RWJB-Somerset for a medical issue. Prior to leaving, the female requested she use the bathroom. After several minutes, the resident refused to exit the bathroom. A female member of the PG First Aid Squad noticed that the resident appeared to be standing in the bathroom completely clothed. The female eventually came to the door and upon exiting struck one of the officers with an open hand. The 50 year old was taken into custody and transported to Police HQ. It was determined that there was no medical emergency. The resident was processed and released pending a court date.
Wednesday 11/8/17 8:59 PM - Officers were dispatched to a Peapack residence for a report a domestic violence assault. Far Hills PD also responded to assist. Police spoke with the victim upon arrival, who informed them that her husband had been drinking alcohol all day and assaulted her. The female had visible marks on her from the assault. Officers located the male in the residence. He was visibly intoxicated. After a brief discussion, Police arrested the 40 year old for assault. He was transported to Police HQ where he was processed and transported to Somerset County Jail where he was lodged.
Friday 11/10/17 10:40 AM - Police, along with the Peapack-Gladstone First Aid Squad, were dispatched to a Peapack residence for a report of an elderly male having difficulty breathing. Officers arrived and conducted a check of the victim’s vitals which showed low oxygen levels. Police placed the elderly male on oxygen. The PG First Aid Squad arrived an assumed patient care. After an assessment, the victim was transported to RWJB-Somerset by the PG First Aid Squad.
Friday 11/10/17 11:16 PM - Officers responded to a Gladstone residence for a Life Line alert notification. Police arrived and attempted to make contact at the door; however, no one responded. Police entered the home and located an elderly female on the floor of the bedroom. The female was unaware of how she ended up on the floor. The victim appeared uninjured. The PG First Aid Squad arrived and transported the victim to Morristown Medical Center for evaluation.
Sunday 11/12/17 9:30 AM - Police were called to a Gladstone home to assist a resident. According to the caller, a 64 year old female needed assistance getting up off the floor of the home. Cpl. Thomas Scanlon arrived to find the victim on the floor, experiencing dizziness. A Visiting Nurse was at the residence and advised she would assume patient care once the patient was back in bed. Cpl. Scanlon assisted in helping the female back to her bed prior to clearing.
